The image pickup at the front end of this camera uses a 1/3 Panasonic CMOS 16:9 Full HD " sensor, " utilizing the Varifocal Auto-Iris 2.8-10mm Megapixel rated IR cut filter lens with a F1.2 aperture for extreme low light conditions. This means a better video picture, more accurate color reproduction, and better contrast, making tasks like facial recognition much easier.

SDI - Serial Data Interface
Sometimes called Serial Digital Interface, the SDI format provides an easy to implement method of connecting advanced CCTV cameras to existing and new security networks. They use coaxial cable, so if you already have a network that uses coaxial cable you don't have to replace them. This means savings, especially on long cable runs.
