This outdoor turret camera has a 650 TV-line sharp image thanks to a GEN III 1/3" CCD video sensor. With a solid metal housing made of thick aluminum alloy it can handle the attention of vandals and people interested in using this camera as a target for thrown rocks and bottles. It has an internal radiant infrared array (with adjustable threshhold settings in the OSD menu) and operates free of glare thanks to our design that uses advanced materials, a carefully designed lens bezel and total lens isolation courtesy of an integrated lens separator that stops any and all infrared haze/glare issues that you may have seen in CCTV cameras produced by our competition.
PrePro and Secure OSD Menu
PrePro stands for Pre-Programmed. This tells you our engineers have already programmed default settings into the chipset. These settings handle almost every situation a user will encounter. That's a lot of words to say "when you reset the camera to factory default, it's good-to-go 99% of the time". Of course PrePro doesn't handle every situation. For special environments, or for those users/installers who need to fine tune the camera for enhanced operation, you'll find a menu structure that includes options like high-light compensation control, dynamic noise reduction settings, and more.
This camera does not have a mini-joystick or dongle for OSD programming. This arrangement can make a camera less secure if the cable can be reached by non-authorized or curious personnel. Our secure OSD menu design prevents people from tampering with camera programming. It depends upon a built-in RS485 line that lets the camera communicate as if it were a PTZ camera, allowing setup and operation through an attached controller or security DVR with RS485 communication. For facilities that don't use a DVR with that feature we have an external programming module/keyboard, the TCL-CN1. Using a portable test monitor the installer or technician can connect to the video cable and use the TCL-CN1 keyboard (attached to the camera's RS485 line) and program the camera at its location or on a test bench or other location.
