AMD or INTEL for NVRS?

This question has been around for what feels like forever. The answer has always been both manufacturers offer a range of solutions for network video recorders and CMS. Opinions are a dime a dozen in the security industry from machine builders and integrators alike. Many prefer Intel for its robust long-term reliability and peak performance during high traffic situations. Others prefer the low-cost entry-level points of AMD which allows for multiple machines appointment at a very small budget. The fact still remains that each processor manufacture completely reinvent themselves every 3 to 5 years. Look forward to additional changes and maybe even some specifically targeted hardware for the security and surveillance industry as our field continues to grow.
